Currently, we do not have an option to change the registered E Mail ID after opening My Account with us

  • Creating My Account on the portal while shopping is not mandatory, instead you can also do shopping as a Guest User.

  • When you click on product you will get two options “Continue Shopping”and “View Cart & Checkout”.
  • Once you click on “View Cart”&click on “Checkout“, the product will be added to Account.

9. Are my personal details safe while doing any transactions?

  • Yes we offer completely privacy of your online details.

The books are quality tested before being dispatched. We maintain complete authenticity of books. Apart from that, we also make sure that you receive the latest edition of books.

14. What if I don't want to receive any more SMS and E-mails from Central Books Online anymore?

You can unsubscribe from our e-mails by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail you have received from us. Alternatively when you login to your account you will get an option of edit under Newsletter tab. You can select it and uncheck the box to stop receiving E mail from us.

15. What is the benefit of adding a product to Wish list?

You can save the products that you are fond of in your Wish list for future, so that you do not waste your time searching for them later. Please note that the price and availability of products remain subject to change. Your Wish list serves only to jog your memory of products that you want to buy.

16. What should I do if I discover my package was opened or tampered with upon delivery?

Central Books Online takes complete care of the product delivery. However, if you receive an open or a tampered package, please do not accept it and intimate us, we will look at it and get back to you.

Once you have confirmed the details you just need to sit back and relax. We will share the order id and tracking details via E-mail/SMS and then you can ensure the details in My Order section under My Account tab.

20. I am not able to find my product, what can I do?

If you are unable to find the product you can re- search the product by breaking into multiple parts. There are also many search filters according to brand, class, product type, brand stream. You can accordingly filter the product. 

Example: Like you just know brand MTG and class 2nd, then just follow these steps.

  • Go to School category and select Class 2
  • In the left you will see multiple filters. Since you know brand name go to Brand/Publisher and select MTG
  • You will get all the books of MTG brand and now you can search for your book.

21. The product I need is not on your website, how can I request for the same?

22. Would my account be deleted if I do not shop for 4-5 months?

No, your Central Books Online account would not be deleted. The account does not have an expiration date. You can login and shop at our website anytime.

Our Logistic partners are FedEx Courier & India Post.

26. Are the books of latest edition? What If I have ordered an older versions and new version is released after that? Will I get a new version or not?

We keep in stock of all the latest editions. But, order will be processed according to the customer’s requirement. Order will be processed according to the TITLE & ISBN provided by customer.

If you find the latest edition on our site within 15 Days after the delivery of the book, you can Return Requestforthe latest edition & bear the shipment charges

Courier charges are applicable; charges depend on weight of the books; also charges may incur of mode of payment.

31. How do I pay using a credit/debit card?

We accept payments made by credit/debit cards.

You can pay for your choice of products using Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.
To pay using your credit card at checkout, you will be prompted to add following details
card number, expiry date and three-digit CVV number (found on the backside of your card). 
After adding these details, you will be redirected to the bank's website for entering the online 3D secure password. 

Debit cards


We also accept payments using Visa, MasterCard and Maestro debit cards.
To pay using your debit card at checkout, you will be required to enter your card number, expiry date, three-digit CVV number.

You will then be redirected to your bank's webpage for entering your online password. 
Once the amount is credited from your account you will receive an update for same.

32. What should I do if my payment fails?

In case of successful payment, you will obtain a confirmation from our end. If the payment does not go through please try again and make sure information passed on to payment gateway is exact that you have updated with bank. 

If your account has been debited after a payment failure the money will be debited back to your account depending on the bank and mode of payment (Net banking, debit card or credit card). In most of the cases the money gets rolled back to your account within 7 days.

34. What is Cash on Delivery?

If you do not have an option to make an online payment you can opt for the Cash on Delivery (C-O-D) payment method instead. With COD you can pay in cash when the product is delivered at your doorstep.

35. Can I pay COD for every product available on the website?

The COD option is available on all the products.

36. I do not have COD facility on my pin code, how can I place an order?

38. Can we change the payment mode of our orders?

The payment mode cannot be changed. In case if you want to update the payment mode, you have to cancel the order and recreate a fresh order. Also you can contact our customer support;

39. How much time does it take for Pending bank confirmation to change to Confirmed?

It takes 48 hours after the payment has been transferred to our account for the status to change to confirmed.

40. How can I transfer the money via Bank Transfer payment mode?

Please collect our bank account details from our customer care before you choose to “Bank Transfer “the amount into our account

41. What happens if I have accidentally placed an order and want to cancel it?

If you want to cancel your order you just need to shoot us an E mail to info@centralbooksonline.com with the subject as "Cancel Order" and mention your order number in the body, any time before it is dispatched from our warehouse. 42. When are the orders dispatched?

All the orders that are available in stock are dispatched within 24 hours of the order placed (except weekend and national holidays).

43. How do I know if my order is placed successfully?

We will update you through an Email with all the details of your products. Be sure to keep yourself updated. You can also check the order in the "My Accounts" tab.

44. Why have I not received my Order yet?

In very few cases due to unanticipated circumstances, it is probably that your order might get delayed. We will send you an E-mail informing you about the delay along with the new expected delivery date. Alternatively you can login to your account and track your order status.

45 What is difference between shipping and delivery of products?

Shipping Time and Delivery Time are often misunderstood. Shipping refers to packing and dispatch of your order. On every product page you will find a shipping timeline (dispatched within 24 hours). This refers to the amount of working days it will take to send off the product from our end. The delivery may take additional 1-3 days depending on the address mentioned in the order.

46 Which courier company will deliver my order and also if I can chose my preferred courier delivery?

To ensure smooth delivery of your product we have established a tie up with FedEx Courier & India Post. Once your order is dispatched, we will notify you about the shipping details via E-mail. Unfortunately, we do not have the option to choose your preferred delivery partner. However, we will update you once such options are available.

47 How do I track my order?

Once the product is dispatched from our end, you will be receiving an E Mail from our end, which includes tracking URL and tracking ID. You can track the order by visiting the website and entering the tracking ID.

48 What if I did not receive my tracking details?

50 Is partly cancellation of the order is possible?

No, partly cancellation of the order is not possible. The order has to be cancelled and a fresh order has to be created.

51 I paid for full amount, but received only partial order?

We would like to share that for Cash on Delivery Orders, the partial shipments are charged with full amount to avoid inconvenience to customers of collecting small amounts broken up .The balance products are shipped within 5 days of the first package and these go on prepaid basis. You are not required to pay any extra charges for these balance shipments. 

 52 How can I free shipping?

There is no FREE shipping. Per ½ kg we charge Rs. 49.00.

Currently we do not have any such option available with us. You can open and watch the content of product only once when you have made the entire payment in case of Cash on Delivery orders.

The orders are delivered within 7-8 business days. Bulk orders have a predefined delivery time which would be mentioned during order placement.

58 Why does the approximate delivery time vary from seller to seller?

Delivery times are subjective to product availability, geographic location of the seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time to initiate the delivery in your locality. Please enter your default area pin code on the product page to know more precise delivery times on the product page itself.

59 Why does the delivery date not correspond to delivery timeline mentioned on product page?

It is possible that there might be some national holidays between your order date and estimated delivery time. Additionally some courier partners and sellers do not work on Sundays. Taking all these steps in consideration we add a day to estimated date and this is why sometime the timeline and actual delivery date can vary.

Dispatch refers to stuffing and shipping of your order. This means that the order is on its way to its destination. Delivery date is the date on which your order will be delivered to the address mentioned by you while placing the order.

Your earnings are directly proportional to the amount of effort you put in to drive sales. You can earn up to 12% commissions for each customer who completes a purchase.

We credit your earnings as soon as the order is delivered to the customer. You can see your earnings by login into your account.

88 What is the minimum withdrawal amount and what are the payment methods?

Your affiliate commission is paid on a monthly basis for qualifying products shipped in that month. We will accrue and withhold the affiliate commission until the total amount due is at least Rs.1000; we make the payment by the cheque and online bank transfer.
